Privacy policy

When you create an account, VitalPaw stores:

• Your email address, or the account identifier your Google or Apple sign-in provides.
• The dog profiles you create: name, size band, life stage, and optionally breed, age, weight and a photo.
• The readings you record: the vital taken, the value, the unit, any emergency signs you tick, the result VitalPaw showed, and the date and time.

VitalPaw does not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details. Payments, if you choose to make one, are handled entirely by PayPal — VitalPaw never sees your card details.

Your profiles, readings and dog photos are stored in VitalPaw’s hosted database and private file storage, not only on your device. That is what lets your readings follow you from your phone to your computer. Every record is tied to your account, and the database enforces at the storage layer that an account can only ever read or write its own rows. Dog photos live in a private bucket that is not reachable by a public link.

Only you. VitalPaw does not sell, share or publish your data, and there is no advertising or third-party analytics profiling built into the app. Your readings are never shared with a veterinarian, an insurer or anyone else unless you export them yourself and choose to hand them over.

The CSV and PDF exports are generated in your browser and saved straight to your downloads. Once a file is on your device, what happens to it is up to you.

You can archive a dog at any time from its profile screen. You can delete your entire account — profiles, readings and photos — from the account menu inside the app. Deleting your account removes your data from VitalPaw’s database and file storage and cannot be undone.

The emergency vet finder can use your device location to search for nearby clinics. Your browser asks before sharing it, the location is used only to build that search, and VitalPaw does not store it.
